The Clear Thoughts Foundation is Dedicated to Seeing a World Free of Dementia

The Alfred A. Kuehn Innovation Institute made a grant to the Clear Thoughts Foundation in March of 2025. The Clear Thoughts Foundation is a Pittsburgh, PA-based nonprofit whose primary purpose is to raise funds to discover breakthrough drugs and novel treatments to stop the progression of and to eventually eliminate dementia.

Promoting Resilience of Body, Mind & Spirit for the Veteran and Military Community

In February 2025, the Alfred A. Kuehn Innovation Institute awarded a grant to Outdoor Immersion. Outdoor Immersion is a Pittsburgh, PA nonprofit Community Care Mission using outdoor activities to create connections of friendship to help US Veterans suffering from PTSD to rebuild resilience physically, mentally and spiritually.

Korion Health is a Pittsburgh based start-up led by Anna Li, an MD/PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Korion’s goal is to build tools that enable patients to access health screenings from the comfort of their homes in an affordable and easily accessible way.
